AdSense. Google AdSense was the first program started 8 years back where any person from any part of the world can participate and make money. Prior to Google AdSense, people were making lots of money from other programs like affiliate programs, eBay, Clickbank, Commission Junction but that was limited to some of the countries like US, UK, Canada etc. When Google started AdSense in 2003, it was opened for everyone who own a website or a blog. It was very easy to make money with AdSense and still people are making thousands of dollars from Google AdSense.

Google AdSense is an advertisement program which allows its publishers to display ads in text, images, banners, videos and rich media ads on their website. Publishers need to include a JavaScript code on their websites and then Google serves the ads related to the contents of their websites. Publisher makes money on per click or per impression basis from these ads. So you will make money every time someone visits your site (per impression) or someone click on the ads (per click). You can also make money by including a Google search in your site or blog. Every time people use the search box to search something and click on the ads in the search results, you will get paid.

To understand more, we need to understand Google AdWords first. You must have seen little 4 lines of ads on the right side of Google search when you search something on Google as seen below in the image. These are Google AdWords ads. Google AdWords is a service where you can advertise your business and products by creating such ads. Millions of people from all over the world use AdWords to advertise their business, product, services, brands. Many of the advertisers use unlimited budget to advertise on AdWords. Now Google serve these ads on its site Google.com. One thing to note here that advertiser has to pay Google only when someone clicks on these ads.

Now because thousands of advertisers has unlimited budget and Google can’t consume all of the budget through its site Google.com only, Google started AdSense where Google can serve these ads on every website who applied for AdSense. Any person who owns a website or a blog can apply for Google AdSense. Once you are approved, you will be knows as AdSense publisher. To serve Google AdSense ads on your site, you just need to login to your account and get the JavaScript code. These codes are available for different ad sizes. You take the code which best fits your site and use this on the appropriate place. Google will check the contents on your site and will serve the ads that matches your contents to give you the maximum benefits. Now every time your site visitors click on the ads on your site, you will get paid for this.

So now its sure that you need a website for making money on Google AdSense. Many of the people when think of creating a site for making money, they just loose the hopes.
